Dr. Elizabeth Casano is an economist specializing in macroeconomics, labor markets, and inequality — the forces that shape how voters experience the economy long before any campaign begins talking about it. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics from Boston University, where her research focused on the economic tradeoffs between insurance and redistribution: when inequality is rising, the design of government programs can either expand opportunity and economic security or reinforce existing disadvantage.

Prior to her doctoral work, Elizabeth served as a predoctoral research fellow at NYU Stern School of Business and held research positions at Northwestern University and Boston University, building a strong record of quantitative analysis across academic and applied settings. She also worked in healthcare consulting in the Washington, D.C. area, where she developed the skill that defines her contribution to VectraBlue: translating rigorous economic research into clear, actionable analysis for decision-makers under pressure.
